Grants Home
The WAC awards over 400 grants and fellowships to organizations each year for arts programs and projects that benefit our Wyoming citizens. These projects ensure that all Wyoming residents experience the highest quality of artistic programming in their community throughout the year. See the
FY11 Grants Summary for last year’s funding. WAC grant funding comes from the Wyoming State Legislature and Partnership Funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Eligibility for Organizations
All 501(c)3 non profit organizations, government agencies (including schools) and tribal governments are eligible to apply for WAC grants. Government and tribal organizations must contact WAC staff BEFORE they apply to obtain an Invitation Code that will bypass the non-profit eligibility section of the e-granting system.
If your organization does not meet the above eligibility requirements, you can apply using a Fiscal Sponsor. See Fiscal Sponsor information for further details.
CHURCHES: Churches and other houses of worship, including mosques and synagogues, that meet the Internal Revenue Service requirements of IRC section 501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS if they meet all of the requirements listed in the IRS Tax Guide for Churches and Other Religious Organizations. Churches will be asked to provide the WAC with a copy of their 501(c)(3) letter (if available) and their Employer Identification Number (EIN). If this is not available, then we ask you to submit verification on church letterhead that states you have met the five requirements outlined in the IRS Tax Guide.
