Individual Artists

The Wyoming Arts Council provides opportunities for individual artists in the form of fellowships, apprenticeships and Individual Artist Professional Development (IAPD) grants.

The WAC offers fellowships in creative writing, performing arts and visual arts. It also oversees the Neltje Blanchan and Frank Nelson Doubleday Memorial Writing Awards.

Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeships are available to master traditional artists to teach their art form to qualified apprentices.

IAPD grants are available to individual artists in the folk, literary, performing and visual arts categories.

Individual artists in all categories may also apply for the WAC’s Artist Roster. There is an annual March deadline. Wyoming visual artists may submit material for the Artist Image Registry (AIR) any time.

2009 Blanchan/Doubleday writing awards deadline is 10/30/09 Click for an example PDF Document
