Artists and authors showcased at Cambria Coal Mine Day in Newcastle

“A Touch of Wyoming: Art and Authors” will be held on Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Weston County Library area on Main Street in Newcastle. This showcase of Wyoming artists and authors is part of the annual Cambria Coal Mine Day celebration.

Participating artists include: Steve Adamson, Black Iron Custom Fabrication, Bart Foster, Donna Gochanour, Del Iron Cloud, Amy Menerey, Eileen Hagerman Nistler, Dave Pauley and Dianna Williams. Authors: Scott Haynes, Jeannie Hudson, Jolene Janway, Patricia Jones, Bill Sniffin, Cat Urbigkit, Denice Wheeler, plus other local authors. Artwork and books will be available for purchase.

Cat Urbigkit, an author and photographer from Pinedale, will be signing her books and talking about “Transhumance Today” at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the library.

On Friday, June 28, at 7 p.m., Wyoming Arts Council roster artist Jeff Troxel from Cody will perform at a “Warm Summer Night” concert at the Newcastle Country Club.
