Gail Watford is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a BSE in Art. Arkansas presented many opportunities to work and present her art in various venues but a move to Wyoming in 2006 aroused a renewed passion and a fresh perspective in her work. Gail's paintings show a passion inspired by the Impressionist movement. Capturing a moment in time with the subtle use of color is a hallmark of Gail's work. Since showing her work in Wyoming, Gail has receiving awards and has been accepted as a signature member of the Pastel Society of Colorado. She has been in many local exhibits and has been received into the following juried shows: 2012 Lines Into Shapes Exhibit, Estes Park Art Center, Estes Park CO; 2010, 2011,2012 and 2014 Cheyenne Artists Guild National Show, Cheyenne, WY; 2011, 2012, 2013 Western Spirit Show, Old West Museum, Cheyenne, WY; 2011 Sage Juried Art Competition, Sheridan WY; 2011 CoCOA Regional Juried Show, Fort Collins, CO, 2011 Arkansas Pastel Society 4th Annual Exhibition, Little Rock, AR and 2010 Regional Fine Arts Show at Lincoln Gallery in Loveland, CO. Her work is on display at the Cheyenne Artists Guild, Works of Wyoming in Laramie and WyoMade in Casper, WY.
