Georgia received her formal art training from the University of Buffalo in New York. Her informal training began at a much earlier age under the watchful eye of her mother, Dorothy Stiefler, who helped her gain a broad knowledge of the traditional woman's arts. Art is the language I use to translate the world around me. Pattern, color, texture and non-traditional materials combine to form a vibrant visual vocabulary. I want to make work that intrigues at a distance and then beckons the viewer to come closer for a more intimate conversation.
