From a University of Wyoming press release:

Photographer Gerald Lang and photographer/herbalist Jennifer Anne Tucker will present two public programs in conjunction with their exhibition, “The Botanical Series: Photographs by Gerald Lang and Jennifer Anne Tucker,” now on view at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Both events are free and open to the public.

A gallery walk-through will be held Tuesday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m. Lang and Tucker will lead an informal discussion about their artwork and be available to answer visitor questions.

“The works combine Tucker’s extensive research and practice as an herbalist with Lang’s digital processing skills to create extraordinary images made using a scanner and digital printer,” says Rachel Miller, assistant curator.

“An Herbalist’s Perspective: An Informal Discussion with Jennifer Anne Tucker” is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m. Local gardeners, farmers, herbalists, botanists and others interested in local plant life are encouraged to attend. Tucker has written extensively about the plants and herbs included in the photographs on view, and will provide additional insight during the program.

Through its “museum as classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. Located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie, the museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m-5 p.m. Admission is free.
