January 20 at 5 PM
The Center Theater Gallery, Jackson

Exhibitions hang through January 28, 2016

The evening includes an opening reception for two photographic art exhibits called Comunidad Latinos – Then & Now and The Awareness Project JH at 5 PM followed by ThinkWY Gathering presentations on Art & Activism at 6 PM in the Center for the Arts theater lobby.

Photography exhibitions by well-known photographer Anne Muller highlights stories and images of faces in our community. Anne believes every picture tells a story. She created an exhibition ten years ago entitled PORQUE. WHY? that included stories of “why” Latinos had come to create their lives here in Jackson. Comunidad Latino Stories – Then and Now reveals the career choices and speaks of the community contributions of ten outstanding Latinos today.

The other exhibition is called The Awareness Project JH engages the community of Jackson Hole – through the arts, dialogue, and storytelling – in understanding the growing population of at-risk individuals and families in our community. Anne has been working closely with Community Resource Center director, Mary Erickson and board member Nancy Hoffman to be a voice through her art for people who don’t have a voice in the community.
