Wyoming Arts Council board meets Feb. 26-27 in Cheyenne


The Wyoming Arts Council will hold its quarterly board meeting Feb. 26-27 at the Little America Hotel and Resort at 2800 W. Lincolnway in Cheyenne.

Beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, the board will convene at Little America to hear reports, plan for upcoming events, attend a training session with the Attorney General’s Office about public meetings, and to conduct other business.

The board invites individuals and organizational representatives to attend any part of the meeting to observe the board process, and to address the board during the public comment session beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday. Comments about the agency’s policies, funding priorities, on-line granting system, and other arts-related topics are welcomed.

At 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, the board will reconvene its meeting at Little America to hear a presentation from the Western States Arts Federation and conduct other business. The meeting will adjourn at 11:50 a.m.

The Governor’s Arts Awards Gala will be held Friday evening at Little America. A cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. After dinner, the Governor will deliver his annual “State of the Arts” speech and then will present awards to Tom Lucas of Dubois, Zachary Pullen of Casper and Jim Wilcox of Jackson.
