ANNOUNCING TWO NEW GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018


Applications for two new Wyoming Arts Council grants, Professional Development/ Career Advancement and Rural Arts Access will be available to all Wyoming 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, government agencies, churches or tribal governments, and  individual artists, beginning May 1.

  • Professional Development/Career Advancement Grants (PD) are available to organizations and individual artists, and is designed to help grow the capacity of work in, and support the arts.

    Funding can be used for board development, leadership development, conference attendance, professional development training, fundraising development, strategic planning, creation of marketing plans, equipment purchases, etc. Individual artists can receive one PD grant every other fiscal year.

  • Rural Arts Access Grants (RAAG) provide funding to organizations that are located in geographically isolated and rural areas and have a population of less than 3,000. Funding can provide support for concerts, poetry readings, festivals, art exhibits, etc.

Grants of up to $750 can be awarded in each of these two grant categories. The deadline to submit an application is four weeks before the project start date.

Funded projects must take place between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018. Organizations that did not receive an FY 2018 Community Support Grant are eligible to receive up to two PD or RAAG grants for different programs or events.
