“New arts complex slated for old Hynds” is the headline in this morning’s Wyoming Tribune-Eagle article about an arts project for the long-empty Hynds Building in downtown Cheyenne.
Here’s an excerpt:
Lights On! project aims to fill long-vacant space with studios, artist-in-residence program

CHEYENNE — The historic Hynds Building at the corner of West Lincolnway and Capitol Avenue has sat empty for nearly 25 years.
Now several people have joined forces in an effort to turn the building into a vibrant part of downtown.
The LightsOn! project would use arts and education to change an empty building. The space would attract people to the city’s central business district.
Organizers hope to develop an artist-in-residence program there as well as create studios to teach high-school and college students.
