From a UW press release:

Internationally acclaimed Brazilian guitarist Flávio Apro is our guest performer on March 1 with a program of master works in the classical guitar repertoire. This performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie. It is free and open to the public.

Flávio Apro is recognized for his work as guitarist, producer, researcher and teacher. He studied at Sao Paolo University and obtained First Prizes at several music competitions. He was chosen to perform in Japan at the prestigious Kyoto International Music Students Festival. Apro currently splits his time between Brazil, where he is Director of Music Department at Maringa University, and Germany, where he serves as director of the Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation South American subsidiary, a socio-cultural non-profit institution based in Munich.

His program for for UW includes music he has recorded on four different albums of guitar classics. Beyond these standard works in the classical guitar repertoire, Apro will be joined by UW faculty member Nicole Riner on flute to perform the exotic and thrilling L’Aube Enchanteé by Ravi Shankar, which is written to mimic the sounds and styles of Indian classical music.
