The 2014 Steamboat Springs (Colo.) All Arts Festival will feature the new Art Steamboat event: a fine art competition and sale that will showcase the works of top-tier 2-D artists from a five state area including Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. A $10,000 grand prize will be awarded to the winning artist. A jury will select 30 finalists, whose work will be displayed in galleries throughout Steamboat Springs from August 1-14. The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
