Call for applications: Wyoming Arts Alliance conference showcases

The Wyoming Arts Alliance sent out this invitation:

When: Wyoming Booking Conference Showcases Saturday, October 3; Sound Check Friday, October 2
Where: At the Historic WYO Theater in Sheridan
Who: Artists and ensembles of all sizes

Why: Interest in reaching emerging market of presenting opportunities in Wyoming, Montana, and other contiguous areas which Wyoming presenters seek to build block booking opportunities.

Application Fee: $25  (non refundable)
Showcase Fee: $290 (includes showcase, all conference activities,and WyAA membership)
Selected artists will have their application fee deducted from showcase fee.

This call ends July 6, 2015 and artists will be notified July 13.

To Apply: The online application form consists of general questions regarding an artist’s work AND two video uploads AND a document upload of artist outreach.  Please make sure your application is complete.

Showcase Performances: We are offering performers a 12 minute excerpt of their work, with a goal of a 3 minute turnover/tech time (max 5 min).  Each showcase will be 15 minutes in length, which includes load in and load out time.

The WyAA Block Booking Conference observes the need to provide a wide range of genres to meet the needs of our presenting members’ interests. We endeavor to fulfill certain genre guidelines in our selection process.
