From the Contour Music Festival:
The Art Garden will be sited on the Center for the Arts lawn in the heart of downtown Jackson at 265 South Glenwood Street. It is part of the inaugural Contour Music Festival held in Jackson from June 11-14. The Art Garden will inspire a sense of wonder and community engagement, and is free to the general public.
The Art Garden is an area of fun, exploration and inspiration and is seeking artworks that work to that effect. Some ideas are artworks that pay homage to traditional western themes while also looking to the remix this classic paradigm in new and exciting ways as well as art that simply explores new ideas and possibilities. Contour encourages artists to submit artwork that will inspire, engage, question, amuse, and otherwise influence visitors to the Art Garden and the greater Jackson Hole area, transforming the space and participants into active contributors to a creative process. Artists are in no way limited to western themed art.
This is an open call to all interested and qualified artists over 18 years of age. Artists with experience creating public and/or interactive art is desired but not required.
