Center for the Arts in Jackson seeks landscape architect to design public space

From a Center for the Arts press release:

The Center for the Arts, an education, nonprofit, and performing arts facility in Jackson, is seeking a qualified Landscape Architect to design a public space at the Center for the Arts site located at 265 South Cache Street in Jackson.

The Project is a 1.2 acre site in the core of the Town of Jackson, and the Center desires to create a space to promote community engagement and participation in the arts, particularly those supported by the Center’s 19 resident organizations.  Funding for the design services is provided by the National Endowment for the Art’s “Our Town” grant program, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole as well as private donors.  The LA will work with the Center’s Board of Directors or an ad hoc committee thereof, Center staff, the public, and a Project Coordinator to formulate a design through an iterative process taking place from October 2013 to March 2014.  Statements of Qualifications are due by the close of business on October 4, and the Board will select the successful candidate shortly thereafter.

The total project budget is $70k, which includes reimbursables such as travel, supplies, and other expenses. $5k is currently budgeted for marketing and public awareness, with an additional $10k reserved for the creation of a project website.  Respondents may include teams comprised of multiple firms and/or individuals, and a multi-disciplinary approach is encouraged.
