From today Wyoming Tribune-Eagle:

The 17th Street Arts Festival is becoming an important summer event for downtown, organizers say.

It’s also good for downtown’s economy, they add.

About 50 pieces of visual art created by regional artists will be on display at the festival from Aug. 15-16. It takes place at the Downtown Dinneen Plaza at the corner of 17th Street and Pioneer Avenue.

Visitors can buy the art, which will be displayed inside a large tent.

The event also will feature live entertainment by regional music and performing groups.

An Artisans Boulevard, set up on 17th Street, will feature food, crafts and other artwork to buy.

Organizers expect some 5,000 people to attend the free event.

P.S.: Arts Cheyenne received a WAC Arts Project grant in 2012 for its inaugural festival.
