Creativity Connects Round Table and Community Discussion

The Wyoming Arts Council is excited to invite you to participate in one of this year’s Creativity Connects round table/community discussions in Jackson. This community conversation is an opportunity for artists, community organizers, and professional creatives of all types to discuss issues that affect the arts. The event will take place on Monday, March 19 from 5-7 pm in The Theater Lobby at Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This event is free and there will be appetizers and a cash bar.

Topics will include:

• Understanding the current ecosystem of Wyoming’s creative economy, including support for artists, workforce development and training opportunities, and the public value of creativity.

• The importance of the arts to other sectors, including business, science and technology, finance, entrepreneurship, education, environment, food, law, and faith-based organizations.

Part of the NEA’s national initiative, Wyoming’s Creativity Connects round table will be informed by similar conversations hosted all around the country.

The discussion will be led by a small panel of arts community leaders, including Karen Stewart (former Wyoming Arts Council board chair, Governor’s Arts Award recipient, and former executive director of the Art Association of Jackson Hole) and Malissa Shriver (Turnaround Arts of California executive director, former Western States Arts Federation and National Assembly of State Arts Agencies board member, and 2014 Americans for the Arts-National Arts Education award recipient).

This is your opportunity to make you voice heard, both in Teton County and on the national stage. We hope that you’ll come and share your expertise with  the rest of the community.
