Cultural Trust Fund grants announced


Renee Bovee has announced the latest round of grants from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund.

According to Renee, WCTF administrator, grants were awarded to 20 projects undertaken by nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies in 12 Wyoming communities and nine counties. The five-member Cultural Trust Fund Board approved granting to the projects from 42 total applications at the July 27-28 meeting in Casper. The requests totaled more than $1 million, exceeding the total interest earning to date for the Trust Fund.

This round’s grant requests included historic preservation, facility plans, outreach programming, archeological site interpretation, Native American documentaries, cultural celebrations, long-range planning, staff and infrastructure development and enhanced season performances.

Here’s the list of grantees:

  • Cheyenne Little Theatre Players, Cheyenne, Laramie County, planning grant for Historic Atlas Theatre Renovation, $27,000
  • Friends of Park County History, Inc., Cody, Park County, Park County Centennial: Photo Exhibit, Walking Tours and Public Programs, $4,000
  • Uinta County Museum Foundation, Evanston, Uinta County, long range plan for Uinta County Museum, $4,520
