This news comes from the UW Department of Theatre and Dance:

Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival is a ten-day dance intensive workshop held July 15-25 at the University of Wyoming’s newly-completed Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts in Laramie.

Our goal is to provide professional level training and performance for dancers ages 13 through adult. Dancers study with distinguished faculty from around the world and perform work set on them during the culminating Gala Performance.

We are pleased to announce the 2015 SRSDF Faculty: Susan Massey, Keith Saunders, Peter Pucci, General McArthur Hambrick, Jacob Mora and Tony Waag. SRSDF presents Dancers of the Joffrey Ballet as the 2015 company in residence!

Tuition for the festival is $400.00 and room and board costs are $600.00. All students under the age of 18 will stay in the University of Wyoming dormitories and eat in Washakie Cafeteria. Students staying in the dorms have a counselor assigned to them, and no one counselor has more than 10 students. Tuition scholarships are available and Wyoming high school students can apply for a fee waiver for room and board.

Coming to the festival? Be sure to check out how to plan!

Festival Administrative Directors Margaret Wilson and Marsha Knight are available for residencies December 2014 through May 2015, sponsored by SRSDF at no cost to studios.
