Description:
Delsa has been photographing landscapes and hidden views of nature in western Wyoming as long as she can remember, always finding new and refreshing ways of sharing her experience with nature through her images. She has showcased her work through regional galleries and exhibits as well as regional street fairs. Her work has also been included in juried exhibits, regionally and nationally. To many, she is know for her traditional landscape work but has recently been gaining a reputation for producing stunning contemporary images.
Besides the stunning images depicting nature’s wonders, grand and small, found in Western Wyoming, other notable image projects of Delsa’s include:
• Fallen | Individually Beautiful, Mini Canvases of Nature. This is an ongoing collection of images showcasing leaves and leaf groupings that have recently fallen to the ground before winter’s approach. In 2016, an image from the collection was chosen as part of a local public arts program for an 8’x8’ mural.
• Motions | Exploring Shadows, Highlights & Colors of a Landscape with Motion. Images from this collection explore landscapes with slower shutter speeds and movement of the camera leaving a new and refreshing view to share with others. Delsa began exploring the technique long before “intentional camera movement” was even trendy - in fact, she had never seen it done prior to 2009 when she started creating the images that would lead to an extraordinary image collection.
• Looking Up | A New Landscape Perspective. Viewers are provided with a very unique experience when viewing images from this collection, one that encourages pause and cogitation. They are captured with a very wide angle lens giving a nearly 360 degree view. Usually, these images are taken from near-ground level looking upward. Many viewers say the images remind them of their youth, when they would lay down and look up to the sky.
