Description:
I have lived in Gillette Wyoming for 40 years and have used fabric as my medium for 45 years. I spend 4 hours a day in my studio creating contemporary art quilts. My tactile pieces show our connectiion to nature and to one another. In both my abstract conceptual and my figurative work this relationship is what I am drawn to, as well as ideas about time and impermanence. My artwork has been purchased at the Governor's Capitol Art Exhibition and four pieces were commissioned to hang at the Curt Gowdy State Park visitor center. Check my website for current exhibitions, gallery, and blog.
The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
