Growing up in Iowa, Jo Ann shared her father's adventures as an avid sportsman. She fell in love with nature and developed a passion for wildlife. She embraced patience and developed an eye for the candid and delightful behaviors of wildlife. Through mentoring by numerous professional photographers, Jo Ann has developed her photography skills. Her photography tours and expeditions have included Canada for polar bears, Alaska for brown bears (grizzlies), India for Bengal tigers as well as Africa and the United States for the animals common to these areas. It is Jo Ann's hope to share some of wildlife's exceptional behaviors through the eyes of her images.
