Description:

Formed in 2011, the Low Water String Band is based out of Lander, Wyoming. Their unique, "Wyoming Indie-Bluegrass" style has gained them audiences across the Rocky Mountain region. The Low Water recorded and released their first self titled album of eleven original songs in 2015, followed by a four song EP, “When You’re Gone” released in 2018.
The band shares songwriting duties, and the different styles blend together for a unique sound. The Low Water was recognized by a grant in 2015, through the Wyoming Arts Council, called the IM Tour, which subsidizes touring outside of Wyoming.
Festival performances include Whatfest, Evanston Bluegrass Festival, NoWoodstock, Donkey Creek Music Festival, Mansface Music Festival, Bear Trap Festival and The Big Horn Mountain Festival. The band was fortunate enough to open for Lake Street Dive in 2016 and for The Wood Brothers in 2019 their Lander Live performances.
The Low Water joined a travelling Wyoming music showcase in 2017, "The WyoAmericana Caravan." The sixth year of the tour included bands Screen Door Porch, Jalan Crossland, J Shogren, Dauphin, and the Canyon Kids. The tour traveled and performed in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.
The Band is currently recording new original material to be released as several EP’s in 2020, and is slated to open for the Young Dubliners March 5, 2020 at the Gryphon Theatre in Laramie.
