Description:

Lee Lane is a Wyoming contemporary realist painter, primarily of landscapes. He began showing his artistic abilities in his youth and later these skills were developed by attending the University of Wyoming, on the G.I. Bill, pursuing a course of study in drawing, oil painting, and etching. He was awarded a BFA in 1981 and an MFA in 1983.
Lee has participated in group exhibitions in Wyoming and Colorado. He was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Douglas, Wyoming Railroad Days Art Exhibit. His primary source of inspiration is found in the diverse natural environment of the Rocky Mountain West.
He is currently pursuing is career in Art after retiring from Active Duty military service in 2006. Currently he teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Laramie County Community College in Laramie, Wyoming teaching drawing, oil painting, and art history.
