Description:

Nanci is a published author and an International Hawthornden Fellow who grew up with a book in one hand, the reins of a pony in the other. She runs the Almost Authors free children's writing camps for Jackson Hole Writers and is Community Engagement Director for Off Square Theatre Company. Nanci's first middle grade novel, SWING SIDEWAYS (HarperCollins), was a Wyoming Indian Paintbrush Award nominee, a Scholastic Book Fairs selection, and was translated internationally. Her second novel, GEORGIA RULES (HarperCollins) was named a Bank Street College Best Book of 2018 with Outstanding Merit. Her third novel, LIZZIE FLYING SOLO (HarperCollins) was a Kirkus Best Book of 2019, and her fourth book, MIDNIGHT AT THE SHELTER (HarperCollins/Quill Tree 2022), is told through the point of view of a three legged rescue dog with the Czech translation translated coming in 2024. Nanci is currently working on her first novel for the adult market which takes place in her beloved home of western Wyoming. She is also a professional Book Coach for other writers.
