Wyoming Arts Council

Description:

Wyoming’s landscapes and people deeply influence my writing. Three current fiction projects — a pair of feature-length screenplays and a young adult novel — are all set in the state. Stands to reason: I’m a 307 lifer. Born in Casper, raised in Riverton, college stints in Powell and Laramie, couple years in Newcastle, nearly 20 in Sheridan, five and counting in Lander.

My humor blog, Some Species Eat Their Young, was once an outlet for ruminating on fatherhood and sharing embellished parenting anecdotes related to life with Kick Ass Wife and our brood: Swim, Perpetual Motion, The Hellcat and Tax Credit #4. The blog lead to some work with Nickelodeon. I am a past contributing writer and columnist for USA Swimming.

I am also the founder and publisher of The Batch: Teen Creative Journal, a literary/arts magazine featuring art, photography and writing from teen creatives in Albany and Fremont counties.
