Description:

+ Where does energy come from and go? How are we all connected across time and space? These existential questions drive the subjects of my work. The imagery is not unique, but universal spanning across people, times, and places. It's familiar and in the familiar is an attempt for connection, centering, and comfort.

+Events outside of my control have always been necessary for me to explore my relationship with using art. I focus on how a two-dimensional plane can be geometrically organized. Its depth grows by paying attention to subtle lines, colors, and patterns in nature, photography, and symbolism. The thinking process during creation can move in unpredictable ways but the artwork planning and execution gives a defined controlled narrative to follow. The geometry, imagery, and colors are self-containing allowing me a safe, calm, quiet space in my mind to process whatever is happening in life presently. As an artist and art therapist, this is how my art is personally healing and self-soothing.

+ I hope to pose an experience or emotion to the viewer about other dimensions of existence, one where we recognize the collective consciousness, our human experiences, and symbols that connect us all. The focus of my career path as an artist and art therapist is on the constant development of myself as a total person to promote the enrichment of society.
