Engage with "cultural and natural resources" Oct. 3 at Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site


It is time for Fall, Fun and a Fabulous time at the 6th Annual Kids’ Pumpkin Walk this Saturday, October 3 from 12 noon to 4 pm at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site.

Admission is Free but please bring a can food item that will be donated to the local food bank.

Come enjoy an afternoon filled with outdoor family fun.  Parents have commented, “My family and I had a wonderful time and were frankly amazed at all the different things on offer. It was a wonderful community event.” My children always ask, “When is the next time we can go back there?”  “This is an event I have attended with my children the past few years, and we have always greatly enjoyed it.”

This year’s Pumpkin Walk, is filled with activities including a straw maze to for the kids to twist and turn their way through; picking the perfect pumpkin from the patch to decorate; Hay wagon rides; and Science Toys! There will be games, prizes and treats, totally twisted balloons and food vendor on site. Costumes are optional.

“Pumpkin Walk is our Kids’ eXtreme Event that encourages families and children to experience, engage and connect with Wyoming’s cultural and natural resources in a fun and unique way.” says Site Superintendent, Deborah Amend.

This free public event is co-sponsored by the Wyoming Territorial Park Historic Association.
