Get in summer shape and benefit a good cause

Attention Jacksonians:

For the months of April, May and June, Physique 22 in Jackson will be sponsoring a Saturday morning “Donation Class” where 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to pARTners, the Jackson Hole organization whose “mission is to promote creativity and improve learning in the schools by bridging the education and arts communities.” Please refer to the Physique 22 website for the Saturday schedule.

Here’s the class:

Barre for a Cause, led by Jen Thorn: Utilizing the ballet bar to decrease the impact on your body – this practice uses small isometric movements and eccentric contractions that push your muscles to exhaustion. Then we lengthen the same exhausted muscles to create long, lean muscle mass. The sequencing includes thigh, quadriceps, hamstrings, gluts, abdominals and spine/posture muscle-sculpting while incorporating stretches for each sequence that leave your body feeling refreshed, healthy and strong.

P.S.: pARTners was the recipient of a 2010 Governor’s Arts Award!
