Jackson will be filled with arts, artists and art lovers next week with the opening of the 30th annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts FestivalSeptember 3 – 14 – with Frontier Airlines flights originating from cities including Denver, Salt Lake City, Atlanta and Dallas still offering fares under $200 for Sept. 3 arrivals. The 10-day festival mixes visual, contemporary, culinary, Western, landscape, home design, wildlife and Native American arts, and includes more than 50 family-friendly activities – many of them free.  Festival highlights include the Palates & Palettes gallery walk on September 5; the Historic Ranch Tour on September 6, providing a peek at the real cowboy life; Taste of the Tetons onSeptember 7, sampling creations by the valley’s top chefs; the Showcase of Homes tours of exclusive private residences, September 12 and 13; and the crowd-favorite QuickDraw in Town Square on September 13.

A signature event of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, the Western Design Conferencereturns to Jackson, Wyo., September 4 – 7, 2014, with the addition of a new Designer Show House and Retail Row. The four-day exhibition of one-of-a-kind Western furniture, fashion and accessories opens Thursday, September 4 with a much anticipated party at the Snow King Center that includes jewelry and runway fashion shows, modeled by Jackson Hole locals. The celebration continues September 5 –7 with the Western Design Conference Exhibit + Sale, showcasing museum-quality functional art by more than 115 Western-inspired artisans.

At the National Museum of Wildlife Art, a newly curated “Wild 100” focus has been added to the annual Western Visions® fundraiser, a cornerstone of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. The museum will showcase a combination of well-established top-selling internationally known artists – including Theodore Waddell, Jane Rosen, Mark Eberhard and Simon Gudgeon – and emerging talents who will be the next generation of leading wildlife artists. Major events in the museum’s month-long art experience include a Wild 100 Artist Party with live presentations by 2014 Featured Artists Ewoud de Groot and Gwynn Murrill on September 11, and the chance to purchase amazing artworks at the Wild 100 Show & Sale on September 12.
