"Jentel Presents" May 6 at Sagebrush Community Art Center in Sheridan

Jentel Artist Residency Program is pleased to present this month’s residents in an event open to the public.  “Jentel Presents” will take place Tuesday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Sagebrush Community Art Center, on the corner of Fifth and Broadway.  This month’s presenters include; a site-specific trio, a fiction writer, a painter and a memoir writer.  “Jentel Presents” is a community outreach program that features visual presentations and readings by the visual artists and writers at the residency.

Presenters include:

John Sutton, Ben Beres and Zac Culler, Seattle, WA; SuttonBeresCuller is a trio of artists (John Sutton, Ben Beres, and Zac Culler) who work collaboratively in the fields of sculpture, site-specific installation and performance. Glendaliz Camacho , NYC, NY;  Besides being a fiction writer, Glendaliz Camacho lives for being mistaken as her daughter’s sister, moments her wit is perfectly timed, and changing her mind frequently. Erika Diehl, Portland, OR;  A painter, Erika was raised by wolves in the mountains of South Eastern Alaska. She paints about the act of looking and the experience of time through color. Grace Lee, Brooklyn, NY;  A memoir writer, Grace was born stateless on a United States military base in Seoul, Korea. Currently based in New York City, she was raised on four continents.

For anyone looking for a stimulating evening, come join the crowd at the Sagebrush Community Art Center, on the corner of 5^th and Broadway.  There is no admission charge for “Jentel Presents” and refreshments are available.

The Jentel Foundation offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment in which to further their creative development. While at Jentel, visual artists and writers have the opportunity to experience unfettered time to allow for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land.

The Jentel Artist Residency Program accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media and writers in all genres for a one-month residency.
