Wyoming Arts Council

Klages, Edwards and Stewart head up CLICK! panel sessions March 1-2

The three panel sessions set for CLICK! will feature panelists who will evoke lively discussions, ask thought-provoking questions and provide opportunities for the audience to interact. Come prepared with questions! These accomplished arts professionals will supply the answers.

Sessions will be held in the University of Wyoming Visual Arts Building.

Why We Make Art, facilitated by Ricki Klages

We’re all here because we are compelled to make art. Why drives us to continue to make art, in spite of all the challenges?

Building Community Through Art, facilitated by Karen Stewart

Visual art is often a solitary occupation, but it can also be an excellent community builder — and having a community is important for an artist. Community can nurture and help an artist’s career, and provide conversation with like-minded people. What are some ways Wyoming people have built communities in our rural state, and continue to do so?

Pathways to Professionalism, facilitated by Mary Jane Edwards

Becoming a professional artist is a challenge, and there are many roads artists take to get there. This discussion focuses on those pathways, in hopes that we can learn from each other.

Check the CLICK! schedule, and register online, here.

See you Friday in Laramie.
