Mule Deer Red Desert to Hoback migration photo exhibit reception Sept. 17

The Wyoming Outdoor Council sent this announcement:

Come explore the extraordinary Red Desert to Hoback migration photo exhibit in Lander—a visual journey through the longest documented mule deer migration corridor. You can join Wyoming Migration Initiative researchers Matt Kauffman and Hall Sawyer, along with National Geographic photographer Joe Riis on September 17, to experience this incredible annual passage of mule deer from the Upper Hoback in the Bridger-Teton National Forest down into the Red Desert, and then back again.

The exhibit is on display now and will culminate with a presentation by the researchers and the photographer at 6 p.m., on September 17, at the Middle Fork restaurant, 351 Main Street, in Lander.

If you can’t make this event in Lander, the Wyoming Wildlife Federation and Muley Fanatics Foundation are hosting a similar presentation the following evening at the Pinedale Library. For more information about that event, contact Joy Bannon (joybannon@wyomingwildlife.org).
