From the Casper Artists’ Guild:

The Casper Artists’ Guild is pleased to announce a new art exhibition:  “Teachers and Their Students:  Works in Pastel”  at the Nagle Warren Mansion located at 222 East 17th Street, Cheyenne.  The Mansion will host the show the entire month of September as part of their Art Design and Dine Series.  The exhibit spotlights a wide range of quality landscapes by Karen Henneck, as well as artists whom have taken her workshops including: Klea Woodberry, Cathy Toups, Kelly Rush, Holly Turner, Val Kulhavy, Carolyn Rodgers, Renae Mason, Robin Bromley, Jill Lazar, Shandra Lazar, Donna Smith, Tanda Martin, Pat Fonnesbeck, Bev Mathisen, Elizabeth Lugg, and Dorothy Morton.  There will also be an artists’ reception on September 11, from 5-8 pm, which will coincide with Cheyenne’s monthly art walk. This art show will also be exhibited in 2015 during the Casper Artist Guild Grand Opening Festivities.  Join us as they celebrate the opening of their new building at 321 West Midwest.

Karen has been a pastel artist since 2001 and shows her artwork in galleries in Wyoming and Colorado. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, as well as a member of Pastel Society of Colorado, Pastel Society of New Mexico, and Pastel Society of Northern Rockies. She loves the way light and shadow play on nature. With the spontaneity of pastel, she strives  to bring the beauty of God’s landscape to the attention of others. In addition to her pastel paintings, she has just launched Pirate Moon Studios where she is busy writing and illustrating children’s books. These are slated to debut in 2015. She will also be a part of a future series of workshops offered by the Casper Artist Guild in their new location.
