New Art In Public Buildings (AIPD) sculpture at state fairgounds

2nd from left, kneeling, is the sculptor David Alan Clark, Lander
A new art in public buildings sculpture was dedicated today at the state fairgrounds in Douglas. The sculpture resides in front of the show building, where kids of all ages show their animals. The sculpture captures a child who has just won a first prize ribbon, as her father carries her on his shoulder. The sculpture captures the movement of the father walking. Wyoarts was there for the ceremony, which included his wife MJ and daughter, the artist’s parents, as well as the models for the sculpture, the State Fair Board, Miss Rodeo Wyoming and others involved with the process of getting the sculpture installed. Today was the first day of the state fair, and it looks to be a full and busy week.
