“Milaap,” the Indian Students Organization (ISO) at the University of Wyoming will host “Diwali Nite,” a cultural fiesta showcasing the diverse nature of the Indian culture and tradition on October 11th, at the Fine Arts Concert Hall, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Join Milaap for live music by Alam Khan and Javad Bhutta, and other performers, followed by authentic Indian food. Alam Khan and Javad Bhutta will also be performing a full evening of concert in the tradition of music from North India on October 12th at the Fine Arts Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. As masters of sarod, an expressive melodic string instrument, and tabla, the fantastic drums of Indian music, they will offer a fine musical experience. Admission is free.
Also, tune to KOCA 93.5 every Wednesday from 8:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. and listen to host Salaam Namaster play some authentic Eastern Indian tunes.
