The National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson presents Paul Taylor, an acclaimed performer on the WAC artist roster, sharing stories of Aboriginal and European Australia on July 16.
Two programs will be available, and each presents a great opportunity for guests of all ages. The activities accompany “Ritual Abstractions: Aboriginal Art of Australia and New Guinea,” an exhibition that hangs in the NMWA through November 2.
The recipient of several national awards, Taylor will lead the Museum’s Family Fun Days activity on Wednesday, July 16 at 2 p.m. People of all ages will have an opportunity to make boomerangs. The program will last about one hour and is free for members or with Museum admission.
Taylor will be performing the didgeridoo (an ancient Aboriginal musical instrument) and telling stories of the Australian Outback at 7 p.m. The event will be held at dusk near an open fire (weather permitting) on the Museum’s terrace overlooking the National Elk Refuge and Sleeping Indian. The evening’s activities are free for members, or $10 for non-members.

The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
