The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is proud to kick off the 8th annual Soundcheck Summer Music Series featuring live outdoor music all summer long in Pinedale, WY. All shows take place in American Legion Park in Pinedale beginning at 5 pm and last until sundown. And best of all, shows are free to the public! So dust off your camp chairs and head to beautiful Pinedale, WY for an amazing summer of live music.

June 27: The Blue Canyon Boys (with special guests: Wind River Steamboat)

Winners of the Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition in 2008, the Blue Canyon Boys are not to be missed. High lonesome harmony, lightning fast picking, and that hard driving sound you know and love! Opening set by Sublette County’s finest bluegrass-meets-punk-rock 5-piece Green River Steamboat.

July 4: Rosie & the Ramblers (part of the Town of Pinedale’s 4th of July Picnic)

For the second year in a row PFAC will be teaming up with the Town of Pinedale to provide entertainment for the annual 4th of July Celebration. Headlining the event this year will be Austin, TX honky-tonk band Rosie & the Ramblers. If honky-tonk is a feeling, it’s the way you feel at a live show from Rosie and the Ramblers! Free food and plenty of 4th of July action in the park before the fireworks show.

July 17: Jalan Crossland Band (with special guests Palomino Shakedown)

No stranger to Pinedale, Ten Sleep’s Jalan Crossland will again bring his dazzling guitar and banjo fingerpicking complete with tales of hobos, mobile homes, motorcycles and more. Opening the July 17 show will be Austin, TX’s Palomino Shakedown. Combining the influences of Country, Southern Soul, and Rock n’ Roll, Palomino Shakedown delivers original music that appeals to the head, the heart and the hips.

August 14: The Crane Wives (with special guests The Boom and the Bust)

The Crane Wives (see photo on WAC home page) are a homegrown indie-folk-rock band from Grand Rapids, Michigan who feature evocative, poetic songs utilizing three-part harmony, warm acoustic instruments, electric color and bounding rhythms. Opening the August 14 show will be Pinedale’s favorite alt-country group The Boom & the Bust featuring Michelle Humber and Nathan Curry.

PFAC’s Soundcheck Summer Music Series is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support from the Town of Pinedale, the Sublette County Recreation Board, the Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission and the Wyoming Cultural Trust. For more information please visit pinedalefinearts.com.
