Pop-up gallery is at the Hynds in July

The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle recently featured a story about a new pop-up gallery in downtown Cheyenne:

The Indian Paintbrush Studio and Friends Art Gallery and Gift Shop will sell the works of artists from Laramie County and the city of Laramie.

“Nothing traveled across the ocean or across state lines to get here,” said Gayle Wilson, one of the operators.

The pop-up store is housed in a spacious part of the empty Hynds Building at 1610 Capitol Ave.

The building has high ceilings and old black-and-white linoleum on the floor, both of which are in excellent condition.

The store will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday and will operate through July 31.

Cheyenne artist Beth Rulli came up with the idea for the temporary shop. She operated a sister store several months ago with local artist Terry Kreuzer and was pleased with the experience.

Rulli is working with Gayle Wilson of Laramie on the new store. Wilson is an artist and former manager of Works of Wyoming in Laramie.
