Jonathan Stone will kick off the day with Placemaking: A Civic Act. Jonathan invites us to imagine a future where the Mountain West thrives through the power of community-rooted creativity. This interactive keynote reframes placemaking as a civic act—where artists and residents work side-by-side to shape the future of their communities. Blending an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for community, he showcases authentic people-powered projects that inspire action. He has partnered with more than 60 communities nationwide as a consultant with Main Street America, is the former Executive Director of the award-winning Downtown Oregon City Association, and is the former Executive Director of Creative Flagstaff.
