The schedule has been announced for the Casper College Literary Conference from Oct. 8-10. Writing workshops will be conducted by Tim Sandlin, William Powers, Linda Hasselstrom and Greg Pape. Fee is $60 per workshop. Free events include evening talks on Thursday and Friday, the annual Wyoming Arts Council creative writing fellowship reading and chili feed at noon on Saturday at the Izaak Walton Clubhouse, and a Saturday night poetry slam at Metro Coffee Company in downtown Casper.

Noon: Free chili lunch for all conference attendees at Izaak Walton Clubhouse, 4205 Ft. Caspar Rd., featuring Rainier Schwarzkopf on classical guitar.
1:30 p.m.: Greg Pape and Wyoming Arts Council creative writing fellowship readings. Introduction by Mike Shay, WAC individual artists program specialist.
9 p.m.: Poetry slam (prose readings, music, and other creative acts also welcome). Emceed by George Vlastos, Metro Coffee Company, 241 S. David.
