Seminar: "Working with Editors and Agents"


The following press release came from Guy Lebeda, literature program coordinator at the Utah Arts Council. The seminar will be held way across the border in Salt Lake City, but Wyomingites in the western part of the state may be in the mood for a holiday jaunt. Seminar presenter, Dawn Marano, is a first-rate editor and shepherded a number of books by Wyoming authors.

The Utah Arts Council Literature Program presents a professional development seminar, “Working With Editors and Agents.”

Our presenter, Dawn Marano served for several years as an editor at the University of Utah Press, where her authors and their books received national attention, including reviews in Publisher’s Weekly, Library Journal and The New York Times. She is a co-author of “When We Say We’re Home: A Quartet of Place and Memory,” a work of literary nonfiction, and of a memoir, “Trusting the Edge” which won first place in the nonfiction book category of the 2005 Utah Arts Council Original Writing Competition.
