Clay Paper Scissors Studio & Gallery in downtown Cheyenne sends this news:

Clay Paper Scissors is honored to exhibit Silverspot: a Graphic Novel in November and December. This absorbing exhibition is a treat for the eyes and the mind! 65 artists, mostly from the western part of Wyoming, participated in this community based project, developed by Bronwyn Minton and shown originally at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson. The exhibit showcases a vibrant range of styles and media as artists let their imaginations run free!

Silverspot, a short story by Ernest Thomas Seton, is a community project with 65 artists illustrating passages from the story. Silverspot is the story of an amazing crow by the same name. All artists had to include their passage in their piece in a mandatory font and stay within the borders of the paper provided to them in order to maintain consistency and be easily produced into book form. After that, anything was possible-paint, graphite, ink, collage, sculpture — the materials, techniques and approaches endless.

The exhibition was also made into a book, which will be for sale.
