State Museum looks at “the decade that changed the world forever”

The 125^th Anniversary exhibit at the Wyoming State Museum adds the turbulent 1910s to the exhibit that will work its way to the 1890s in celebration of Wyoming’s Statehood.

From the First World War, to the deadliest global pandemic of Spanish flu, the decade changed the world forever.

This week the exhibit highlights the historic Lincoln Highway with an original state line marker used on the state border. Dedicated in 1913, the highway provided the most direct route from New York City to San Francisco at the time.

The Wyoming State Museum is located at 2301 Central Avenue in Cheyenne. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Admission is free.
