From a Casper College press release:

An open house to celebrate the unique ceramic works of art inspired by the exhibits of the Tate Geological Museum will take place on Friday, April 25 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“From Mineral to Masterpiece” will showcase vases, plates, bowls, and display pieces created by Casper College students. “Students were asked to create a piece of artwork from an exhibit currently on display at the Tate, and they have produced some beautiful works of art in a variety of shapes and colors,” said Deanna Schaff, director of museums at Casper College.

In addition to the works on display, the free open house will feature craft projects for adults and children as well as refreshments.

All artwork in the display was created by the students of Ceramics III and IV, taught by Mike Olson, art instructor at Casper College.
