The Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour will present outdoor adventure films Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22 and 23, at the Gryphon Theatre, 710 E. Garfield St. The screenings focus on exploring cultures, preserving environments and promoting adventure.
Shows begin at 7 p.m. each night, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Mountainfilm presenter Katie Klingsporn will introduce the films and lead discussion following each presentation. These screenings are free and open to the public.
The University of Wyoming Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources hosts the Mountainfilm on Tour in Laramie.
Established in 1979, Mountainfilm is an organization and festival of films, people, stories and ideas celebrating indomitable spirit, educating and inspiring audiences, and motivating individuals and communities to advance solutions for a livable world.
Mountainfilm on Tour shares a selection of the films from the annual festival with audiences around the world and offers Mountainfilm for Students, a free educational outreach initiative for K-12 schools at tour locations. Year-round and worldwide, the tour reaches more than 40,000 people on five continents.
