For the past twenty-five years, the Governor’s Arts Awards have recognized those who dedicate their time, passion and financial support to Wyoming’s cultural life, and have emphasized the importance of the arts in daily life. Individuals, organizations or communities selected to receive awards for 2007 will be honored on Friday evening, February 22, 2008 in Cheyenne.
The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
