Trio Solis

From a UW press release:

Guest artists Trio Solis will perform a variety of classical, pop, jazz and Broadway music Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. The free concert is part of the UW Department of Music’s Faculty Recital Series.

The program will include American composer Carter Pann’s “Trio No. 1,” which samples contemporary pop and classical styles; Paul Schoenfield’s “Cafe Music,” showcasing a compositional blend of Western and Jewish music; and Felix Mendelssohn’s “Trio No. 2 in C minor.”

Founded in 2008, Trio Solis shares music and education both at the university level and in concert. The group includes Corinne Stillwell on violin, Greg Sauer on cello and Read Gainsford on piano. Besides performing live across the United States, the members teach and maintain full studios at the College of Music at Florida State University.

Trio Solis’s first album, “Diamonds in a Haystack,” was chosen as the Critics’ Choice for January and February 2013 by the American Record Guide.
