News from Casper College:
Auditions for the Casper College fall musical, “Urinetown,” will be held on Thursday, August 28 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gertrude Krampert Theatre Complex.
“Urinetown,” which was nominated for nine Tony Awards and won three, “is a hilarious parody of Broadway musicals that takes on the serious subject of what happens when government and corporations take control of our basic bodily functions,” said William Conte, director.
Auditions are open to all types, males and females, 13 years of age and older. According to Conte those wishing to audition need to “prepare an up-tempo song and be prepared to move!”
“Urinetown” will be performed on the McMurry Mainstage in the Krampert Theatre Complex Oct. 16-18 and 22-26. The theatre complex is located on the Casper College campus. For more information, call the theatre at 307-268-2365.
The Wyoming Arts Council believes that experiencing the arts should be accessible for all, including people with mental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, military/veterans, people living in institutions and those who lack access to the arts due to geographic isolation, cultural difference and economic hardship.
