UW celebrates Flute and Saxophone Day on Sept. 19

Where: Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Recital Hall

Join some of the most talented, highly motivated flute and saxophone students from around the state in workshops directed by UW faculty members Dr. Nicole Riner, flute, and Dr. J. Scott Turpen, saxophone.  Afternoon performances will include a recital featuring UW faculty and students and a Mass Flute and Saxophone Ensembles Concert with all participants.

8:15 am: The Art and Science of Performing , Recital Hall, Dr. Riner, flute and Dr. Turpen, saxophone

9:00 am: Flute master class on Wyoming All-State excerpts, Room 1070, Dr. Nicole Riner

9:00 am: Saxophone master class on Wyoming All-State excerpts, Recital Hall, Dr. Scott Turpen

10:00 am: Saxophone Repair Class, Room 2003, Tim Glessman, Sax Alley, Windsor, CO

10:00 am: Developing Your Daily Routine (Flute), Recital Hall, Dr. Nicole Riner

3:00 pm: Professionals’ Recital, Recital Hall

4:00 pm: Flute Choir concert, Concert Hall

5:00 pm: Wyoming Flute Day Reception, Lobby
